Our team at Believing in Different have, over the years, gathered together a wealth of expertise and lived experience in our expanding team. This has meant that as we have grown, we have been able to pool our skill sets, allowing us to now also offer the services below.
Each of these services are priced dependent on case and complexity, with the same commitment to supporting the families who need us in the best way we can – and not wanting financial restrictions to get in the way of that.
Our mentors and educators work through us with the families and young people they serve. We offer them comprehensive training, supervision and a supportive, engaged community, as well as all the practical support they need. Some work online, and some in person, and we are able to support families or education teams to recruit new team members who are able to deliver provision with their young person’s unique skills, interests, talents and needs in mind.
We have a growing network of qualified specialist professionals both within our own team, and connected to our team, who are able to offer professional advice, oversight, support and provision to our families and young people; as well as training, supervision and support to our team. Directly commissionable services currently include package oversight by an Independent SENCO and Educational Psychology involvement via MDT and Annual Review.
Our team is also able to support, shape and coordinate EOTIS/C packages, bringing both lived experience and extensive educational expertise into this role. We understand the critical importance of helping young people with EOTIS/C to rebuild trust and a sense of safety in the people and places around them, ensuring they have a voice and autonomy in everything they are a part of. This understanding underpins everything that we do.
We work collaboratively and creatively with families, professional teams and young people themselves to design and coordinate bespoke, responsive packages. We have the resources available to us to build low demand packages that centre around each young person which incorporate therapeutic and neuro-educational aspects into academic and/or interest led provision so that recovery can be facilitated alongside bespoke educational engagement.
We are also equally able to slot in to nurture and foster growth and cohesiveness within existing teams.
Through our EOTIS/C coordination we can offer:
EOTIS/C package creation, monitoring and review;
Support for families in the day to day application of their EOTIS/C package;
Task analysis, planning and resource sourcing;
Progress recording, monitoring and communication;
Multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting organisation, attendance and minute taking;
Admin tasks;
Oversight of resource budgets/community access allocations;
Support in preparation for as well as attendance and/or facilitation of meetings such as Annual Reviews.
